Everyday care and storage

Gently wipe your jewellery with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth after wearing. Store pieces separately to help prevent scratches, away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

Apply perfume, makeup and hairspray before putting on your jewellery. Remove it before swimming, using household chemicals or strenuous activities.

Gold-plated and black ruthenium-plated jewellery

Use a soft, untreated cloth and a gentle touch. Avoid abrasive cleaners, silver dips and polishing liquids on plated surfaces. Plating can change with wear; do not try to remove marks by vigorous polishing.

Matte and brushed finishes

Do not use a polishing cloth or polishing cream on a matte or brushed finish, as this can alter its appearance. Ask us about cleaning your particular piece before treating it.

Sterling silver and solid gold

For plain, unplated pieces, gently clean with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Take extra care around charms and hand-stamped details.

If your jewellery includes gemstones, pearls, a special finish or older components, contact us before using cleaning solutions, soaking or an ultrasonic cleaner. Different materials need different care.
